It’s my day to talk about Geeky Bobbin’s UFOvember and have a fitting lesson for you- rework your expectations. As I went to find two specific projects I had in mind to rework and COULD NOT find them I had to rethink what this project was about for me.
Instead of spending more time trying to find my undesirable quilts, I decided to spend that time working to finish some of the quilts in the last stages of finishing. So I focused my time on preparing binding for three quilts that are in the homestretch! I have two versions of Slice Is Right quilts you can see them here and here on my instagram that came back from an excellent longarm quilter.
If you’re in the market for a great binding resources our lovely host Bobbie has two great ones!
I like to use true bias binding on quilts when I can and used it to create some today, at the end of the long weekend I should have 3 quilts at least most of the way done!
So all that to say, this time of year and all year long cut yourself some slack. If you can’t find the thing on your list, move on to a good use of your time! Remember the effort is to make progress, to finish the year with a cleaner slate.
Happy sewing!
