My love for Riley Blake Designs florals is overflowing- sort of like my gutters for the last week (DANG HOUSTON RAIN!), and this Poppy and Posey line by Dodi Lee Poulsen is a dream!
One of my favorite prints is this floral main print that reminds me of my friend Shanon’s painted wall! Check out her “mural” highlight here.
One thing I love about this fabric is the colors and depth of the flowers. These play so well with all the basics and mixes included in this line.
Another thing I’ve come to love about Riley Blake is a lot of their floral pair beautifully together. Some of these prints look great with my “Tea with Bea” bags!
I knew, shocking no one, that I wanted to make some zipper pouches! This time I used Sotak Handmade’s Devon Pouch pattern. This is one of my favorite zipper pouch patterns that has easy zipper installation and lots of room for customization and using different fabric combos!
I love how quickly these pouches come together I may….make a batch of them to work on some scrap piles every time I make one! This is a great idea, except in the interfacing step. LOL
I think these bags turned out adorably! the mixing and matching is the best part, you can pair all the beautiful patterns together for such a unique look.
Theses Devon Pouches are the perfect size to throw inside a big tote, wrangle all the USB drives you have hanging around, or the perfect pouch for EPP travel!
I like that the front has 4 little panels, of reasonable size perfect for busting all the scraps. Such a wonderful pattern. If you don’t know how much I love Sotak Handmade check out my last blog post that included her purse organizer.
One of the new things I tried with these bags is using polymer beads with the zipper pulls. I found these at Michaels and thought this would be a neat addition to all my zipper fun. I like that they have a variety of colors I can pair with faux suede cording for the perfect finishing touch.
I hope you love how these turned out, and grab yourself some Poppy and Posey fabric for Riley Blake. You can find the line at Fat Quarter Shop (affiliate link).
Happy End of Spring 🙂 Tina
