So I have been eyeing an Arkon Mount for a while, since around August when my cheapy flexible arm thing broke! Seeing as we are probably going to be living in this virtual world a little longer, and adapting to some virtual content/classes/demos regardless I thought it’d be a good investment.

The setup I ended up going with was a 3-in-1 Creators Bundle, I knew because of how my studio is setup I also needed a clamp on base to film around my sewing machine so I purchased just the clamp base as well. I really love how this setup worked out because I love having the option to configure it multiple ways, and I’m not constantly moving around the base. Each base has their home and I just need to move the arm.
Learn from me! I wish I had bought the full on second Pro Stand Clamp Base setup (linked above) so I would have more of these guys, the arkon arm extension.
There aren’t many times that I want it to be longer, but a few instances! Especially when I hopefully get back to making stopmotion content! It helps to be higher up!
I love having a hands-free option around to help with filming. It also serves double duty to hold my iPad during Zoom calls, and my phone for demos as seen below!
